Trust in a Long-term Business Relationship

I think that trust is very important in a long-term business relationship. Without trust, most business relationships would not work, for having no trust would completely undermine the entire business.
Trust allows peace of mind, letting you know that you can count on the other person, that they won’t scam you. Trust lets you know that your partner will work for the business’s wellbeing. Trust makes you feel more secure, that your partner isn’t going anywhere. Trust is important for all businesses, whether small or big. It can affect the business itself, as well as its environment.
In conclusion, I think that trust is a big part of a long-term business relationship. Trust is a business’s foundation.

What Would it Take to Convince Me to Use Spreeder?

I would be convinced to use Spreeder every day if I knew how important it is to be able to read quickly. Because I now know how important speed reading is, I use Spreeder every day. Speed reading abilities are very important because they allow you to learn so much more from books and articles in a shorter time period.

How to Win Friends and Influence People, by Dale Carnegie

This is my essay on how to Win Friends and Influence People, a book by Dale Carnegie. All you need to do to get people to do what you want them to do is to make them want to do it, and do make them want to do it, you have to let them find out wants in it for them. Let’s just say that you decide to go fishing, and it happens that you really like chocolate, but the fish, for some odd reason only like worms. You don’t bait your rod with chocolate, but with worms. You don’t think about what you want, but what the fish wants. You bait the hook to suit the fish. You put yourself in another’s shoes. To get people to listen to you, you have to find out what they want, to construct it according to their needs. Others just don’t care what you want, they only care about themselves.

Therefore, to make friends, you have to really care about others. Instead of asking your friend, “Hey, how was your day so far?” But just not caring, try to actually care about what they have to say. Become genuinely interested in their lives. They will love to talk about themselves. Everyone has an interesting life. But you might have never known if you have never asked. Who knows what you could find out. Some things like remembering someone’s name can really be helpful. It has been proven that someone’s name is to them the sweetest and most important sound in any language. Focus on using their name more, not just remembering it. You have to talk in terms of their interests and make them feel as if they are important.

The second point I will talk about is on how to win people to your way of thinking. First of all, you have to show respect to others opinions, not just shouting out, “No!” This can be really helpful if you are working with a group on a project. You have to begin in a friendly way and appeal to their way of thinking. Another good thing to do is to get the other person to do the talking, letting them feel as if it is their idea. Try to see things from their view. Be sympathetic to their ideas, and appeal to their nobler motives. At the end, tell them your ideas, and throw down a challenge.

Last of all, as a leader, you have to change people around you without getting them mad at you. Begin with praise and honest appreciation for what they have done, but call attention to their mistakes indirectly. Talk about your own mistakes before criticizing them. Ask them questions instead of giving them direct orders, and let the other person save face if they make a mistake. Make sure to praise every single improvement, as small as it may be. Give the other person a fine reputation to live up to, and use honest encouragement. Make the other person happy about doing the thing you suggest.

In conclusion, It is important to show respect to other people and appeal to their wants. “How to Win Friends and Influence People,” by Dale Carnegie is a great book, and I recommend it to everyone who would like to learn to have great social skills.

Was Washington’s program of gaining social acceptance for blacks an Elitist program? Goal: 100 words.

For those who don’t know, an Elitist program is a program which is run by someone who has much more authority than the others. I think, that Washington did not run this program as an Elitist one. Washington believed in, get this, equal rights. The fact that his program was not Elitist was demonstrated in his autobiography, in where he talked about the fact that he did not like it that he had to represent all blacks. He did not like that seat of power. In his speeches, he also talked about how he was just looking for blacks to be treated as equals with whites.

In conclusion, I think that Washington did not set the program for gaining social acceptance for blacks as an Elitist program. Washington believed in equal rights.

Booker T. Washington, Great parts in his Autobiography

Recently I’ve been reading the autobiography of Booker T. Washington. It is a great autobiography, and I highly encourage you to read it.
One of the parts of the autobiography which I really like is where Booker decides to go to school. He was very set on going to school, and nothing could stop him. Him going to school was a big thing because, in his community, no other black had gone to school before. All the elderly blacks who thought they would never see freedom again, much less see anyone of their kind go to school,  lavished him with all kinds small gifts, Booker even said that it was almost pitiful. After a long time and perseverance, he managed to get into school and graduate.
The other part that I really liked about the autobiography is when he started his school, Tuskegee. I like how he, even though having to live in poor conditions with a small salary, decided to persevere. His school, Tuskegee taught the former black slaves that never got a chance to be educated. He emphasized hard work and cleanliness and believed that all races should be united and that no enmity should be kept against the former slave owners.
Booker T. Washington was a great guy, and we should all follow in his footsteps, to be hardworking, God-fearing men.

How to Free Up Time

It can seem like there is never enough time to do what we need to do. But what I find, is that much of my time is spent doing useless and unproductive things, such as watching YouTube video’s, constantly checking my email, or even just roaming around the house.
Now watching YouTube videos or checking my email may not be bad things, but I sometimes spend way too much time doing so. Watching a couple YouTube videos is ok, but just sitting at the computer screen, watching video’s 24/7 is not good. Maybe limit your time to 1 hour a day, or maybe even 1/2 hour. Having a reasonable time limit on watching videos or other things can really help. Another waste of time is me constantly checking my email. If I limit a certain time to check my email, I could save so much of my concentration. Now I might spend the same amount of time checking my email if I limit it to certain times in a day, but what I find is that you change your amount of productivity. When I start to focus on your work and then my chat rings, it gets really hard to focus afterwards. I lose a lot of your time where I actually concentrate.
In conclusion, I think that it is important that we focus on how much time we spend on certain things. Now the things that I mentioned might not be the problems that you have, scheduling your time applies to almost everything, not only with YouTube videos and Email. Now it is OK to occasionally indulge in watching funny cat videos, but for the most part, I am better off doing many other things with my time.

How the Bible has Changed my Life

The Bible is very important in my life. The Bible talks about how Jesus Christ died for our sins on the cross, was resurrected, and how we should live our lives for God. The Bible has changed every part of my life.

Before I accepted Jesus Christ as my savior, I went to public school. After I accepted Christ, however, my parents and I decided that public school wasn’t fit for me, as a Christian, so I became homeschooled. Ever since I became homeschooled, I have gotten many new hobbies that my teacher introduced to me. I have also learned much more than I did in public school. My everyday routines are also now very different than they used to be. Now if my parents and I hadn’t become Christians through the Bible, I would still be at public school, and wouldn’t have any of the hobbies and friends that I have gained through homeschooling.

The Bible has also changed the way I think and do things. In 1 Corinthians 10:31 it says, “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” That means that I have to do everything for the glory of God. I have to focus on what I am doing and get it done the right way. An example of applying this to my life is the work that I do every day. I know that I should devote myself to my work and pay attention to it. It isn’t for my parents, or for other people, but for God.

In conclusion, the Bible has been a big driving force in my life. It has changed me ever since I have accepted Jesus as my Savior, whether it be in my daily life or the way I think and do things. So why don’t you read the Bible? You have everything to gain, and nothing to lose.

What Lead Helen Keller Out of Her Prison.

Helen Keller was a remarkable person. She was deaf and blind ever since she reached 19 months, but that didn’t stop her from having a great life.
At first, Helen did, however, feel like life wasn’t worth living. She couldn’t find joy in her life, she couldn’t communicate with others, or even see anything. She was stuck in her own prison. But then, she met Alexander Graham Bell. Helen felt as if Alexander understood her, and felt as if he really cared for her. She said that she, “Fell in love with him at once”.
That was the start of Helen’s way out of her prison. Another big turning point in her life was when she went on a trip. They were going through different cities on a train, and at one stop, they arrived at a place where there were also other blind children. She felt as if she could actually relate to them, and felt a great sympathy for them. This helped her to come more out of her shell. But the most important part was probably when she met her teacher, Sullivan. She described Sullivan as one whom she couldn’t live without. Through whom every single part of her life was related too. Sullivan taught her how to talk, sign language, and even how to read. Helen spent every moment of her time with Sullivan, and later, because of Sullivan, managed to graduate from college with a degree. But one of the things that helped Helen through every point of her life, was God. God helped Helen through all the obstacles in her life.
Now I am not trying to make it seem as if Sullivan was the only reason why Helen succeeded, but only that Sullivan was one of the big reasons. Why Helen managed to get out of her shell was mostly herself, and God. Helen managed to crawl out of the big hole that she was in, to break out of her prison. Now our prison’s might not be like Helen’s, blindness or deafness. But you should know, that whatever prison’s you are in, that God is in control. It might not seem like it, but God does have a plan for your life.

Why you Shouldn’t Borrow to Buy a Depreciating Asset

You shouldn’t borrow to buy something that depreciates in value. Examples that can depreciate in value are cars, electronics, jewelry, and much more. A reason why buying these is not good is because it produces debt. And debt, when for something that depreciates, is very bad.

One reason you shouldn’t borrow to buy something that depreciates is that what you buy should return an investment to you. Like buying a share in a company, it should return the equivalent of the value you paid for it or more. You expect the company you invested in to generate money for you. The same is not expected of a luxury TV, or of a sports car that you don’t need. Therefore, I think that borrowing to buy something which depreciates in value is not a good idea.

Another reason why you shouldn’t specifically borrow to buy it is that debt produces interest. And if you have a lot of debt over a long period of time, it can cause you a lot of trouble. An example is when you buy an overly expensive car. You don’t have enough money to pay it back, but you leave it be. “It doesn’t matter”. But then, after a while, it is getting impossible to pay the debt off. You rush to sell the car, but you realize that the car is not worth half as much as before.

In conclusion, I think borrowing to buy a depreciating asset is a bad idea. Borrowing to buy that video game you want, or getting that really cool car that you can’t afford are all not good. Debt can grow really fast.

Tips to Saving Money

Most people, if not all, find uses for money in their everyday lives. Whether it be to buy lunch, clothes, or even services. But what most of us need is a way to conserve our money. Many people find themselves spending too much money, living paycheck by paycheck. Simply eating homemade food, not impulse buying, and not indulging in unnecessary luxuries are all ways to save money.

Eating homemade food can save money in a lot of ways. The most obvious one is where eating out costs a lot more than it does when you eat homemade food. When you eat out, you spend an average of 20$ for food and labor costs, compared to when you dine at home, you only spend around 4-9 dollars for a great meal. Another way eating homemade food saves money is where you don’t have to pay for medical bills. Now if you live in Canada, you get free medical bills, so you just don’t have to pay the fee of unhealthiness.

Impulse buying is a great way to waste money. When you impulsively buy something just because it looks good and it says that the price won’t ever go down that far again, you probably didn’t make a good deal. First of all, great prices almost always come back. And, you didn’t know the quality of the object you bought. Now I’m not saying that you always have to research whatever you want to buy, but just that it is a good idea.

Last of all, not indulging in unnecessary luxuries can be a great way to save money. Not going to the movie theater’s every other day, or not going to buy that toy you think would be great fun are all ways to save money. Now I am definitely not saying that you shouldn’t go to the movie theater once in a while, or not to indulge yourself in whatever you like to do, just that you should be careful to not go overboard with your unnecessary purchases.

In conclusion, having the skill to conserve the money that you get can be very helpful. Whether it be saving money on hospital bills, something you’d really like to get, or an extra cool looking car, small choices can go a long way to saving your money. But just remember, don’t be a miser!
